A. It is a security enhancement designed to prevent account theft and unauthorized use, and to provide a safer Rank Mode environment.
Q2. Is setting a secondary password mandatory?
A. Yes. You must set a secondary password to access Rank Mode.
However, general content other than Rank Mode can be accessed without setting a secondary password.
Q3. I already completed SMS verification in the past. Do I need to verify again?
A. Yes. Regardless of whether you previously completed Rank Mode SMS verification, you must complete SMS verification again to set a secondary password.
Q4. What are the requirements for the secondary password?
A.
Only 6–8 digit numbers are allowed
The same number cannot be used consecutively three or more times
SMS verification is required for both initial setup and resets
Q5. I’m not receiving the SMS verification message.
A. SMS messages are limited to 10 attempts, and sending will be restricted for 24 hours.
Please check your carrier’s spam-blocking settings and confirm that the phone number was entered correctly.
If the issue persists, please contact PUBG Support.
Q6. When do I need to enter the secondary password?
A. On the same PC, verification is required once every 24 hours when entering the lobby.
If you log in from a different PC, secondary password verification will be required immediately, regardless of time.
Q7. What happens if I don’t enter the secondary password?
A. You must complete secondary password verification to access the lobby and play the game.
If verification is not completed, game access will be restricted.
Q8. What happens if I enter the secondary password incorrectly?
A. After 5 or more failed attempts, you will be directed to the reset process.
SMS verification is required to reset the password.t.

A. If any party member has not set a secondary password, Rank Mode cannot be accessed.

A. In-game via [Career] → [Overview].
You can set it using the “Set Secondary Password” button on the lower left.
Q12. Does this apply to mobile or console platforms?
A. This feature applies to all PC platforms.
Q13. Will the existing Rank Mode SMS verification continue to be used?
A. No. The existing SMS verification for Rank Mode will be removed and replaced by the secondary password system.
